Sunday Worship Service on April 17, 2011 with Pastor Vincent Liew

Pastor Vincent Liew from BMBC delivered his sermon to the BMBC Congregation  following the theme for the Months of March and April which is Vision, Faith and Obedience. It was Palm Sunday.  Coming up would be the Good Friday and Easter Sunday or he preferred to call it Resurrection Sunday. We have an insight from him on God's Vision for us and about the faith and obedience as seen in the life of Prophet Elijah. Many of us have our personal Vision for Life and also Vision in our secular and corporate world. Humanly inspired vision is generally self desire and self serving.  Vision, Faith and Obedience come in a package. Vision from God or the divine vision that come from the heart of God is outward focused and it is never about us but about somebody else.

BMBC Vision : To be an Authentic and Visible Community of Christ-like Relationships, Character and Vocation, impacting the community in Bukit Mertajam and beyond.  Glory to God not BMBC.

Reference is made to the book of Holy Bible 1 King Chapter 16 verses 29-34 on King Ahab did more evils than all the kings before him. God pronounce judgement on the nation of Israel because of the sins of King Ahab. He also mentioned about Prophet Elijah in 1King Chapter 17.  He noted and asked us to examine on how Prophet Elijah pray and petition to God with his head between his knees as described in the Holy Bible.  May you be blessed by the sharing of our Pastor Vincent Liew from his sermon on that Sunday.
